At 11:23 am yesterday, Junior Pixels entered this world. He’s a beautiful, happy and healthy baby, and I am very proud of his Mama for doing so well.
My plumerias also flowered yesterday for the first time in two years. Beautifully timed.
I fell in love with this plumeria pudica that I saw recently at a nursery. It is commonly called the ‘hammerhead frangipani’ as it has long, hammerhead like, evergreen leaves. It apparently flowers year round in warm climates so I guess we’ll see how it goes in Brisbane!
I spent some time this afternoon doing some gardening on the balcony which inspired me to take some photos of some of my favourite plants.
My first new frangipani flower for this year opened today. I forgot how spectacular the yellow centre is.
I have been watching my frangipani on my balcony grow for the last few weeks.
Each day it looks different. It has gone from being pure ‘stick’ to now having fresh green leaves and flower buds waiting to bloom.
Any day now the flowers will be out. I can’t wait.
