I saw this bed of flowering agave attenuatas yesterday on my bike ride. I think the garden bed had perfect winter sun and they just couldn’t help but burst out in bloom. Appararently these Mexican natives can take up to 20 years to flower.

flowering succulent in a swan
I recently mentioned the awesome succulent (Kalanchoe Longiflora Coccinea) my sister-in-law gave us as a gift that we planted in a ceramic swam. For the last couple of weeks it has been flowering with beautiful miniture yellow flowers, too hard to resist taking a photo.

updated home design scrapbook
The storage limit increase at wordpress.com couldn’t have come at a better time!
I have just added over twenty more images to my home design scrapbook. All the images are thumb nailed to increase the page loading time. You can click on each image to view its full size. I do wish wordpress.com had an option for thumb nail size. The thumb nails would look better slightly larger than they are.
my frangipani is flowering
My first new frangipani flower for this year opened today. I forgot how spectacular the yellow centre is.

my frangipani is nearly flowering
I have been watching my frangipani on my balcony grow for the last few weeks.
Each day it looks different. It has gone from being pure ‘stick’ to now having fresh green leaves and flower buds waiting to bloom.
Any day now the flowers will be out. I can’t wait.
