I’ve got a new favourite blog… unhappy hipsters: it’s lonely in the modern world, modern images collected from hip magazines with dark, ominous and often bizarre captions.
At the art opening, he’d been convinced the blank canvas symbolized endless possibilities. Back at home, it was just one more reminder of his own desperation.

Very funny! I used to look longingly at houses in style magazines until I realised that the reason places looked nice was because they weren’t full of crap. And I have a lot of crap that will clutter up anywhere I live. That’s when I realised that stylish places looked barren and lonely and unused. Some of those places are probably fine places to live, it’s the absence of evidence of life that makes them look (a) hip and (b) intolerable.
