travel free throughout brisbane and s.e.q this long weekend

I am not a big fan of Brisbane’s new go card, but a four day weekend of free public transport is simply too good to resist. All you need is a go card and then you can ride free over the Easter break. Simply show the driver your card but don’t touch on or off, otherwise you’ll be charged. This includes all trains, buses and ferries in Brisbane and also the Sunshine Coast and Gold Coast. It doesn’t include the airport train.

If you don’t have a  go card yet, buy one at your train station or at selected newsagents. It requires a deposit of $10 ($5 for concessions) and you don’t even need to add money to it for this weekend.

You can register your card so you can retrieve your balance if it’s lost or stolen but this means they know where you’re going.
